Climate Change and Just Energy Transition Partnership Stocktaking Workshop

On December 9, 2025, a space for balance and projection was held, where the achievements of this instance were discussed, such as the First Week of the Partnership; and various milestones within the framework of its working groups on the topics of just energy transition, climate protection, protection and sustainable use of biodiversity and the environment, sustainable and resilient urban development, and climate and biodiversity financing.

“Colombia reaffirms its commitment to move towards regional leadership in clean energy and to consolidate, together with Germany, an exemplary cooperation for the world,” Gabriela Guerrero, coordinator of the International Management Group of the Ministry of Mines and Energy.

“This year we have strengthened and deepened our partnership. I invite you to continue to move forward with the same determination and vision that has characterized us so far,” Ursina Krumpholz, Director of the Latin America Division of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy.

During this meeting, priorities for the Partnership’s work were discussed, such as the incorporation of new actors and the articulation with Colombia’s new National Development Plan.

The workshop was attended by the Colombian Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Mines and Energy, Environment and Sustainable Development, Transport and Housing; as well as the National Planning Department, the Presidential Agency for International Cooperation, the German Embassy in Colombia, the German Development Cooperation – GIZ, the German Development Bank – KfW and the German-Colombian Chamber of Industry and Commerce – AHK. The German Ministries of Foreign Affairs – AA, Economics and Energy – BMWE and Environment, Climate Protection, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety – BMUKN joined virtually.
