IKI in Colombia

Colombia’s role is key for the global protection of biodiversity and for its great potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Recognizing its importance, since 2011, the German government, through the International Climate Initiative (IKI) of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV), and the Federal Foreign Office (AA), has supported various climate and biodiversity projects in Colombia.
