Asobancaria’s 7th Finance for Equity, Sustainability and Transformation Congress (FEST), held on September 4th in Bogota, had Germany as its guest country. As part of the opening remarks, Simon Herchen, Deputy Ambassador of Germany, emphasized that, just as the current challenges of sustainable development have no borders, neither should the solutions.
David Rusnok, keynote speaker and co-founder of Climate and Company, emphasized that, although the participation of the financial sector in conservation is important, the intervention of the regulator and the mandatory publication of information from the productive sector for the measurement and mitigation of sustainable risks is even more relevant.
Germany works closely with Asobancaria, which is leading the first stage of the construction of the National Biodiversity and Adaptation System (SINBA) with the support of Euroclima, financed by the European Union and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development – BMZ and the IKI Interface project.
