On September 26th in Bogota, the Climate and a Just Energy Transition Partnership led the workshop “From discourse to message: Co-constructing creative narratives on just energy transition in Colombia” together with Climate Tracker Latin America, an organization dedicated to support, train and encourage better climate journalism in the region.
The objective of this space was to strengthen the strategic communication skills of communicators linked to energy transition processes in Colombia, through a training and exchange space to facilitate reflection on approaches, languages and narrative challenges to promote this issue.
It was attended by the German Embassy in Colombia, the Ministries of Energy, Environment, Transportation and Housing; and other entities such as the National Planning Department, the Presidential Cooperation Agency and the Mining-Energy Planning Unit. Also in attendance were organizations such as WWF, GGGI and the Biodiversity CIAT Alliance; as well as German cooperation entities: GIZ, the Development Bank – KfW and the Colombian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry – AHK, among others.
Participants highlighted the importance of this space to learn about just energy transition, as well as to establish networks and possible future collaborations, within the framework of the Climate and Just Energy Transition Partnership.
