The geographical monitor of actors of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development is an interactive platform that gives visibility to those who drive sustainable development in Latin America and the Caribbean. From national and local governments, to parliaments, civil society, the private sector and academia: this space shows how different actors work individually or collectively to advance the goals of the 2030 Agenda.
This platform seeks to facilitate access to information, foster collaboration and strengthen the collective impact of sustainable actions in the territory. Through a dynamic map, initiatives can be explored, synergy opportunities can be identified and it is possible to know who is doing what, where and how.
All available information has been provided directly by the stakeholders themselves through a virtual survey available in Spanish, English, French and Portuguese. The register is always open and does not require editorial review: each contribution is the responsibility of the provider.
In addition, the platform integrates geo-referenced statistical data and geographic information layers extracted from ECLAC databases, allowing for a deeper analysis of the territorial deployment of actors and their actions.
This platform was developed by the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) with funding from the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Climate Protection, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMUKN) within the framework of the International Climate Protection Initiative (IKI) and is supported by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
