The first DRM Regional Roundtable in Montes de María brought together more than 70 participants from community organizations, educational institutions, government agencies, and technical teams for a forum on climate change and land management.
The project “From Roots to Tides: Resilient Ecosystems” held its first Regional Roundtable in Montes de María, bringing together more than 70 participants from community organizations, educational institutions, government agencies, and technical teams for a forum of dialogue and knowledge exchange on climate change and adaptive land management.
Through participatory exercises and multi-stakeholder working groups, participants shared experiences and perspectives on territorial governance, water management, and the restoration of the tropical dry forest, as well as resilient production systems, economic opportunities, and the exchange of knowledge.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to recognize local adaptation knowledge and practices, identify challenges in the region, and strengthen coordination between communities and institutions.
