IKI in Colombia
Colombia’s role is key for the global protection of biodiversity and for its great potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Recognizing its importance, since 2011, the Federal Government of Germany, through the International Climate Initiative (IKI) has supported various climate and biodiversity projects in Colombia. Within the Federal Government, the IKI is anchored in the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Climate Action, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMUKN). Selected individual projects are also the responsibility of the Federal Foreign Office (AA).
