Representatives from Armenia, Bogotá, Cali, Florencia, Ibagué, Montería and Villavicencio visited the city of Barranquilla on April 28, where they learned about real implementation experiences, financing mechanisms, as well as lessons learned and concrete opportunities for energy efficiency projects and the implementation of renewable energies.

This exchange took place within the framework of the SolER and Energy Efficiency in Public Buildings in Capital Cities (City Climate Finance Gap Fund) projects implemented by the German Development Cooperation – GIZ.

“In this visit, the cities learned about solutions that allow people to access clean and cheaper energy, as well as innovation and good practices in efficiency and use of natural resources ” Natalia Castañeda, director of environment of Asocapitales.

These spaces promote projects, experiences, exchanges between cities, and generate new alliances for our partners who implement energy efficiency and renewable energy projects” Carolina Hernandez, SolER project manager and coordinator of the thematic area of energy at GIZ.
