On March 3, a loan for close to US$180 million was signed for the “Sustainable Urban Development in Colombia” program, which will promote sustainable infrastructure in the country’s cities and municipalities, with a focus on sustainable mobility, clean and efficient energy, and resilient water and sanitation.
It also contemplates a complementary measure to strengthen the FDN’s institutional capacities and provide technical support to the projects financed in their preparation and execution.
This alliance reflects a shared vision between the two banks: to promote high-quality, sustainable urban infrastructure with a positive social and climate impact, mobilizing investment in transformative projects in Colombia.
The event was attended by the German Embassy in Colombia and representatives of the KfW in Germany, which identified a high level of commitment and collaboration for joint cooperation with the FDN. With this first cooperation, great results are expected in terms of support for the development of strategic infrastructure for Colombia.
