The IKI EcoAdvance project accompanied the process of interpretation into Wayuunaiki of the booklet ‘Guide for the Inclusion of Ethnic Peoples and Communities in Public Procurement’, a tool developed by the National Public Procurement Agency – Colombia Compra Eficiente to encourage and strengthen the access of ethnic peoples and communities to procurement processes and public procurement in Colombia.

Throughout the document, the rights of these groups and the opportunities they have to participate in the state procurement system are explained. It also details the types of contracts and their role in guaranteeing the rights and development of communities. This version has been designed with a pedagogical approach and, thanks to the support of the EcoAdvance project, is now available in Wayuunaiki, the mother tongue of the Wayuu community, facilitating access and understanding for greater inclusion in public procurement processes.
